Do you think we will ever figure out what happens after death?

Biggest problem I have with reincarnation is that we have 7 billion people right now in the world. More than ever, which means entirely new souls are created.
Reincarnation actually happening should be really rare and it would probably take thousands of years for your soul to get a new body.
Also one apocalyptic event and reincarnation stops, so then what happens? Nothing after all?

all of that and it doesn't make any sense when you really get into how the brain works.

If you mean that there are more people alive now than have ever been alive previously, that's not true.

Edit: I think I know what you mean, that say the population was 1 billion, since it's 7 billion now, that's 6 billion lives that can't be accounted for by reincarnation. I guess the argument there would be that reincarnation doesn't mean that new lives can't be created, since there would have to have been a beginning anyway, it just means that a life cycle can't be ended (hence why the population is rising so much?). It's also limiting to assume that only human lives are reincarnated, and only into other humans. Maybe every life form is reincarnated into any other type of life form at random.

Not that I believe in reincarnation.

"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."

How come only a few cases of people "remember" their past lives?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Well, nothing about reincarnation says you have to come back as a human does it?

Quite likely it's a rare occurrence people remember past lives because they in part come back as something else, like an ant.

There's loads of cases of abnormally intelligent or social animals that could point to things like that, perhaps the part of them that used to be human "remembers"

Of course in that case you definitely are more likely to come back as an ant or other type of insect than a human, possibly not even creatures on this world.

If you add other animals in to the equation, whatever "force" manages reincarnation would have it a lot easier.

I think the main thing to realize is that it's not all just some religious mumbo jumbo to laugh at it's actually been tackled scientifically with strict tests and such, many scientists believe it to be real though of course nobody has actual understanding of it as of yet.

It's not just something crazy homeless people with a different doomsday prophecy every week thought up one day.

Just seems to me that your whole argument is based off assumptions and the idea that it's not been proven to be false, so therefore it's true.

The reality is reincarnation and heaven are ideas created by humans to cushion the blow of death. We don't really know what happens after death until we die, and then we're not really in any condition to speak about it lol.
